Following the Spirit Through the Clear and Unclear
As Christians, we have many decisions to make…some harder than others. This week’s message from Acts 10 shows how the Apostle Peter followed what He clearly knew to do all while being perplexed about something else. Stop letting fear, uncertainty, and questions keep you from doing what God has already made clear in His Word. We may not understand everything God is doing in our lives, but we can trust Him enough to obey what we do understand and take the next step. If you are in the midst of a decision, are confused, or in a season of waiting, this could be just the encouragement you need!
More Than Proverbs 31
Being a “Proverbs 31 woman” is something that many women shoot for. Yet this is only one picture of a godly woman from Scripture. Chelsey Kees challenges not the value of Proverbs 31, but the way that it can be misapplied. This message reminds us that our Christian life is not about perfection or measuring up, but about fearing the Lord and being faithful through every season of life.
You Must Believe in the Resurrection
Do you want to be saved? Do you want to be forgiven for your sins and have eternal life with God? Belief in Jesus Christ’s resurrection from the grave is necessary!
This message will demonstrate God’s perfect love and justice, how He has made a way for you to be forgiven, why He must punish sin, and that Jesus Christ is the only answer.
We also share why belief in the bodily resurrection of Jesus is reasonable–not wishful thinking, not blind faith–the most logical conclusion based on historical evidence.
Romans 10:9 — …if you confess with your mouth Jesus as Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved
The Cost of Discipleship
Following Jesus is more than repeating a prayer. Have you counted the cost of being His disciple? Have you denied yourself? Are you taking up your cross and truly following Him? Let’s examine what Jesus asks of anyone who wants to come after him.
Hidden Idols
This Sunday’s message, Hidden Idols, examines how idolatry can live beneath the surface–not just in what we do, but in what we love, trust, and cling to. Do you have misdirected loves? Have good gifts taken a place in your life that is only intended for God?
Ask a Better Question
Ever tried to fit your faith inside your desires instead of submitting your desires to your faith? In “Ask a Better Question”, we examine why the way we approach a situation affects the outcome we live. What if instead of asking, “What is permissible?”, you asked, “What is beneficial?” What if instead of asking, “What is in it for me?”, you asked, “How can I glorify God?”
Anticipation for the Arrival of a Savior
The people of God waited for the birth of their Messiah for centuries. We now celebrate Jesus Christ as King through things like nativity scenes as we anticipate His coming again.
